El Corrido de Anza

El Corrido de Anza tells the story of the 1775-76 expedition from Sonora, New Spain, to found the San Francisco Presidio. In partnership with the National Park Service and the Juan Bautista de Anza Historic Trail, Los Cenzontles composed and recorded this corrido and produced this music video, shot along the trail.

El Corrido de Anza was composed by Gilberto Gutierrez Silva, lyrics, and Eugene Rodriguez, music, and recorded by Lucina Rodriguez, vocals, Fabiola Trujillo, vocals, Shira Kammen, violin, Leonel Mendoza Acevedo, harp, Eugene Rodriguez, vihuela and guitarra de golpe, and Emiliano Rodriguez, bass.

The video was shot and directed by Armando Aparicio.
